נושא עבודת הדוקטורט: דימויים קוויים באמנות הפליסטוקן/הולוקן של אגן הים התיכון

מטרתה של עבודת הדוקטורט היא לבסס קורפוס בין-תרבותי נרחב של הסגנון הלינארי באמנות אגן הים התיכון מסוף הפלייסטוקן (לפני כ-15,000 שנה). המחקר כולל שלושה פרויקטים, שבמרכז כל אחד עומדת יצירת אמנות נאטופית וגוף השוואתי של יצירות נוספות ממכלולי תרבויות מקבילות, קודמות ומאוחרות לתרבות זו. התוצאות מצופות להפיק קריטריונים חדשים להערכת מאפיינים ייחודיים לתרבות הנאטופית. אותם קריטריונים יאפשרו גם סוג חדש של השוואות בין-תרבותיות סביב אגן הים התיכון. הודות למיקומן הייחודי של תרבויות סוף הפלייסטוקן בהיסטוריה האנושית (היינו, זמן המעבר מאורחות החיים הפליאוליתיים לחברות החקלאיות בניאולית), התוצאות עשויות להעמיד גופי ידע ממשי לדיון בפנומנולוגיה של האמנות.
